Before configuring Photomonials App, make sure you have completed all mandatory integration. For tutorial on the above integration, please refer to Integrating ShopSocially.

Adding New Campaign

You can add new campaigns using the Adding New Campaign button.

Please follow the steps given below:

  1. Login into Merchant Center.  
  2. Click Campaigns tab. Refer to Figure: Adding New Campaign. 
  3. Click Add New Campaign tab. Refer to Figure: Adding New Campaign.  
  4. Select and click available campaign, or from available campaigns.

Configuring the Campaign

By default the Configuration setup is shown. Refer to Figure: Configuration Setup.

There are various tabs in the Configuration set up and are as given below:

  • Basic
  • Advanced
  • Moderation
  • Embed


Setup for each tab is given in below sections.


Note: In Basic tab, you can choose any one of the two available template types and the configuration fields will change accordingly. This document explains the configuration fields for both the template types in separate sections. 

The two available template types are as given below:


Overlay Template Type


This template type allows a small number of pictures to be displayed in a customized sidebar overlay on any page (s) of your website.


Available for the Overlay Template Type:

  • Faces: Visitors will see the faces (Profile pictures) of users who have shared an image aggregated by this Photomonial App, and can click on a face to see what that person commented about the product.
  • Photos: Visitors will see thumbnails of the shared photos themselves, and must click on the thumbnails for the full photo and story or comment. Refer to Figure: Overlay Template Type.

Embedded Template Type


This template type gives users a full-page Photomonials experience. This option can be embedded on a page on your site, or you can link users to the ShopSocially hosted page. 

Available options Embedded Template Type:

  • Collage View: Visitors to the page will see only the photos, arranged in a randomized collage at different sizes. Visitors will have to click on the photos to see the comments, sharing options, and original poster. Refer to Figure: Collage View.

  • Full View: Visitors to the page will see the photo, the name and profile picture of the person who posted the photo, their comment, and some sharing options. Refer to Figure: Full View.

  • Photo Strip View: Embedded side-strip with customer photos on each product page as “social proof”. Refer to Figure: Photo Stripe View.

Configuring the Overlay Template Type

Choose this template type to give users a lighter, but more pleasant photomonials experience. This option allows a small number of pictures to be displayed in a customized sidebar overlay on any one or multiple pages of your website, similar to our other Apps.

The tabs are as given below:
  • Basic 
  • Advanced 
  • Moderation 
  • Embed

Basic

The Basic tab is for setting template type, template view, content source, and sidebar display options.


Please follow steps given below:

1. In Gallery Template, in Template Type, select Overlay option, and select:
  • Template View: Select one of the two options as given below:
Faces: If you select this option, Visitors will see the faces (Profile pictures) of users who have shared an image aggregated by this Photomonial App, and can click on a face (or bio picture) to see what that person said about the product.

Photos: If you select this option, Visitors will see thumbnails of the shared photos themselves, and will need to click on the thumbnails for the full photo and story or comment. Refer to Figure: Gallery Template 1.

2. In Content Source, provide required information. In Content Source, you can decide the source you are going to aggregate images from. Photo aggregation and content aggregation will be done based on hash tags.
For example, you can decide whether the photos from Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook channels will be visible or not. You will need to set up the control separately for each channel. Refer to Figure: Content Source 1. For each channel, select one option from below:
  • Do not include: Photos from that sharing channel will not be shown. 
  • Photos with any of the following hashtags: Photos from that sharing channel will be shown if photos contain any of the hashtags you specify. 
  • Photos with all of the following hashtags: Photos from that sharing channel will be shown only if photos contain all of the hashtags you specify.

  • Share On Mobile: You can select from drop down any one of the below options:
Do not include: If you select this option, photos from other Share-On-Mobile campaigns you are running will not be shown. Photos only from the sharing channels you have selected will be shown.
All Campaigns: If you select this option, photos from all other Share-On-Mobile campaigns you are running will be shown in addition to photos from the sharing channels you have selected.
List of Share-On-Mobile Campaigns: If you are running Share-On-Mobile campaigns, list of those will be displayed in the drop down. You can select any one campaign from the list. Photos for the selected campaign will be shown in addition to photos from the sharing channels you have selected. Refer to Figure: Share On Mobile 1. For more details, please refer to Photomonials Share On Mobile (Under Construction).

3. In Sidebar Display Options, provide:

  • Sidebar Title: Maximum 20 Characters
  • Sidebar Placement: Right side or left side.
  • Sidebar Top Offset: This field enables you to move the Photomonial's slider up or down a certain number of pixels on the page. Normally, the slider shows up in the vertical middle of the page. The Vertical Popup Offset field controls the position of the slider relative to the vertical middle of the page. For example, enter -10 in this field to move the slider 10 pixels up from its default position on the page. Or, enter 20 in this field to move the slider 20 pixels down from its default position on the page.
  • Sidebar Image 
  • Number of Photos to Display: Select a number from the drop down. The number you enter in this field will decide how many photos will be displayed in the sidebar at a time.
  • Photo Display Threshold: This means that the minimum number of photos you mention here are required to display side bar. Say for example you enter 5 number. Then the sidebar to display will require minimum 5 photos. 
  • Sidebar Font Color 
  • Sidebar Border Color: Refer to Figure: Sidebar Display 1.
  • Sidebar Background Color: This will be the color for the image background. Refer to Figure: Sidebar Display 2.
  • Sidebar Image Background Color: When user scrolls the images, till the image loads, this will be the Sidebar Image Background Color, which will be shown. Refer to Figure: Sidebar Display 3.
  • Auto Slide overlay on Page Load: Select this check box if you want to choose not to slide in the view on page load. In this case the user will have to click on the Sidebar image to view the photos. Refer to Figure: Auto Slide overlay on Page Load.

4. If you have selected All Campaigns, or a specific campaign from the drop down list for Share On Mobile option in Content Source you will be required to enter certain information.


In Upload Button Configuration Options, provide:
  • Show Post Button: Select this check box this option if you want the customers to upload their photos.
  • Upload button configuration from: Select a campaign from drop down.
  • Upload Button Image: Refer to above Figure: Sidebar Display. 
5. Click Save.

Advanced

The Advanced tab is for setting gallery options, sharing options, and permissions for Facebook App.

Please follow steps given below:


1. In Gallery Options, Select "Display only photos tagged to current URL" check box if you want to tag specific product URL page (s). If you select this option, then when Photomonials is being rendered, it will display only those product photos which are tagged with the product URL. To do this, you will have to go to Moderation tab. In Moderation tab, in Moderation Options, in Manual Moderation, when you hover mouse on an image, click Edit icon, and enter the product URL. Click SaveRefer to Figure: Photo Tagged To Current URL 1.

2. In Sharing Options provide:

  • Twitter Default Text 
  • Email Default Text 
  • Facebook Share Title
3. In Carousel Display Options provide:
  • Strip Color on Hover 
  • User Name Color 
  • Shop Now Button Color. Refer to Figure: Carousel Display Options. You can configure the color combination of your choice.
  • Shop Now Button Text 
  • Related Products Header HTML

4. Click Save.
Moderation

The Moderation tab is for controlling the photos, ShopSocially-generated stories in the Shopping Community, Product Stories views and emails. This can be set up manually or automatically based on settings, and adding stop words to reject.


Please follow steps given below:


1. Click Moderation tab.

2. In Moderation Options, provide:

  • Hide Pending Posts: By default all posts are pending. Select "Hide Pending Posts" check box if you do not want the end user to see pending posts. This includes Photos, ShopSocially-generated stories in the Shopping Community, Product Stories views and emails. 
  • Manual Moderation: The Merchant site Admin can choose to manually approve or reject the posts, using this option. 
  • You can also add products related to each photo in Photomonials. Whenever a photo is displayed in carousel view, these products are displayed alongside. Please follow steps given below:
1. In Moderation Options, under Manual Moderation, click Moderate Gallery.
2. Click Edit. Refer to Figure: Moderate Gallery.

3. In Related Product Details, provide:
  • Product URL
  • Product Title
  • Select the check box, which will associate the picture to the Product URL. Refer to Figure: Related Product Details.
  • Click Approve.

3. Automatic Moderation: The Merchant site Admin can choose to automatically set approval and rejection criteria for the posts, using this option. Click on Automatic Moderation. Add the stop words based on which you want to reject a post. Click Save Changes. The posts rejected by Automatic Moderation will be shown as Auto Suppressed Posts.

4. Click Save.


Embed

The Embed tab is embed the campaign to Facebook page. All posts will be shown on the Facebook page.


Please follow steps given below:


1. Click Embed tab.

2. In Embedding Options, in Embed on Facebook, click Add to Page. Follow further instructions after login to Facebook page.

3. In ShopSocially Hosted Page, click Open Link. You will be able to see newest and the most popular posts.

4. On Embed tab click Save to save settings.



Configuring the Embedded Template Type


Choose this template to give users a full-page Photomonials experience. This option can be embedded on a page on your site, or you can link users to the ShopSocially hosted page. 


The tabs are as given below:

  • Basic

Basic


The Basic tab is for setting template type, template view, content source, strip display options, and upload button configuration options.


Please follow steps given below:


1. In Gallery Template, in Template Type, select Embedded option, and select:

  • Template View: Select one of the three options as given below:

Photos for the selected campaign will be shown in addition to photos from the sharing channels you have selected. Refer to Figure: Share On Mobile 2. For more details, please refer to Photomonials Share On Mobile (Under Construction).

3. Note: Follow this step only if you have selected Photo Strip View. In Strip Display Options, provide:
  • Show Strip Header: Select this check box if you want to show strip header.
  • Strip Header Text
  • No of Photos 
  • Strip Width: In pixels 
  • Strip Background Color. Refer to Figure: Photo Strip.

4. If you have selected All Campaigns, or a specific campaign from the drop down list for Share On Mobile option in Content Source you will be required to enter certain information.


In Upload Button Configuration Options, provide:

  • Show Post Button: Select this check box if you want the customers to upload their photos.
  • Upload button configuration from: Select a campaign from drop down.
  • Upload Button Image: Refer to above Figure: Photo Strip.
5. Click Save.

Advanced


The Advanced tab is for setting gallery options, sharing options, desktop display options, and so on. Depending upon what you have selected in Template View, the settings options change. These are described below.


For Photo Strip View option, please follow steps given below:


1. In Gallery Options, Select "Display only photos tagged to current URL" check box if you want to tag specific product URL page (s). If you select this option, then when Photomonials is being rendered, it will display only those product photos which are tagged with the product URL. To do this, you will have to go to Moderation tab. In Moderation tab, in Moderation Options, in Manual Moderation, when you hover mouse on an image, click Edit icon, and enter the product URL. Click Save. Refer to Figure: Photo Tagged To Current URL 2.

2. In Sharing Optionsprovide:

  • Twitter Default Text
  • Email Default Text
  • Facebook Share Title
3. In Carousel Display Options provide:
  • Strip Color on Hover

  • Shop Now Button Color. Refer to Figure: Carousel Display Options. You can configure the color combination of your choice. 
  • Shop Now Button Text  
  • Related Products Header HTML

Click Save.

For Collage View option, please follow steps given below:


1. In Photo Display Options, Select "Show Sharing Options On Hover" check box if you want to show sharing options when user hovers mouse over image. Refer to Figure: Sharing Options On Hover.

2. In, Gallery Options, in Gallery Header Text, provide:

  • Gallery Header Text: This is the text that will appear as header for Photomonials when the friend clicks the shared link.
  • Display only photos tagged to current URL: Select "Display only photos tagged to current URL" check box if you want to tag specific product URL page (s). If you select this option, then when Photomonials is being rendered, it will display only those product photos which are tagged with the product URL. To do this, you will have to go to Moderation tab. In Moderation tab, in Moderation Options, in Manual Moderation, when you hover mouse on an image, click Edit icon, and enter the product URL.
  • Gallery Background Color: This will be the Photomonials background color.

3. In Desktop Display Options, provide:

  • Header HTML: You can Upload Image. 
  • Gallery Width 
  • Show Header HTML on FB Page: Select this check box if you want to show Header HTML on Facebook Page.
4. In Photo URL Options provide:
  • Show shopping link for tagged posts: Select this check box if you want to show shopping link for tagged posts.
  • Text for Shopping Link. Refer to Figure: Shopping Link.
  • Default Landing URL for Non-tagged Posts

5. In Sharing Options, provide:

  • Twitter Default Text
  • Email Default Text
  • Facebook Share Title
6. Click Save.


For Full View option, please follow steps given below:

1. In Photo Display Options, Select the required check box (s) as per below:

  • Show Like Button: Select this checkbox to enable "Like" button for the Shopping Community post.
  • Show Sharing Options: Select this checkbox to enable sharing of the Shopping Community posts.
  • Show Comments: Select this checkbox to show comments. Refer to Figure: Photo Display Options 1.
  • Show Copy Permalink: Select this check box to enable the Permalink for the post. The Permalink icon will be displayed. User when clicks the icon will be shown the "Copy Permalink to this post". Refer to Figure: Photo Display Options 2.
  • Show Timestamp: Select this checkbox to enable time of post creation. Refer to Figure: Photo Display Options 3. 
  • Display Star Rating: Select this checkbox to enable star rating. The visitor can rate the photo on a basis of 1 to 5 stars.
  • Enable Auto-scrolling: You can enable or disable automatic loading of photos on scrolling Embedded Template Type. For Collage View, in Advanced tab, in Photo Display Options, select Enable Auto-scrolling check box to enable automatic loading of photos on scrolling.

2. In, Gallery Options, in Gallery Header Text, provide required text.

3. In Desktop Display Options, provide:

  • Header HTML: Here you can insert text/ or image you want to place above Photomonials gallery. Refer to Figure: Header HTML.
  • Gallery Width: You can define the width of Photomonials App. This will in Pixels.  
  • Show Header HTML on FB Page: Select this check box if you want to show Header HTML on Facebook Page.

4. In Photo URL Options, provide:
  • Show shopping link for tagged posts: Select this check box if you want to show shopping link for tagged posts. 
  • Text for Shopping Link. Refer to Figure: Shopping Link. 
  • Default Landing URL for Non-tagged Posts

  • Twitter Default Text

6. Click Save.

Moderation

3. On Embed tab click Save to save settings. Refer to Figure: Embed Photo Strip View.

Enable, and Disable Auto Loading of Photos 

You can enable or disable automatic loading of photos on scrolling Embedded Template Type.

For Collage View, in Advanced tab, in Photo Display Options, select Enable Auto-scrolling check box to enable automatic loading of photos on scrolling. Refer to Figure: Photos On Scrolling 1.
